With almost 400,000 new students making the trip to University next month, National Express has relaunched its popular Young Person Coach Card – offering 30% off all journeys for the next three years. According to NUS figures, the cost of being a student is now in excess of £15,000 per year – with over £2000 on transport costs alone. The British government coalition agreed to liquidate the existing concessions for coach travel for people over 60 years of age and with disabilities. Coalition cuts will mean half-price coach travel for pensioners and the disabled will be slashed from the budget.
