Discover Sweden

Vacation in Skåne - not only for Wallander fans

Your holiday in Sweden's southern most region Skane (Skåne) you can design in many different ways - combining a classic summer resort by the sea, as hearty holiday in a log cabin on private lake, or a city break in Malmo (Malmö), Lund and Helsingborg, with trips to the Kingdom of Crystal. You can also simply enjoy a few lazy days at sea in the picturesque coastal town or Mölle Torekov.

In the past decade, Malmo (Malmö) has undergone a radical, post-industrial change. The cosmopolitan city has its shore "recaptured" in which a new and lively district was created with interesting architecture. Nevertheless, Malmo remains a small, manageable and comfortable city in which everything is within walking distance. The Western Harbour in Malmö is brand new district, which is characterized by fantastic architecture, green spaces and a unique view of the Sound.

The emerging university town in the south already has to offer with its student flair (one in three people are enrolled at the local university) and the rich cultural offer plenty of room for discovery. Here we also find the oldest cathedral in Scandinavia from the year 1103. Many shops and cafes invite you to stroll and relax in the city and the beautiful surroundings.

The journey from London to Sweden by Flixbus

All Flixbus’ coaches have on-board toilet and washroom facilities, reclining seats and air-conditioning as standard. Sometimes the coach that picks you up from your departure point has only the final destination displayed on the front windscreen. Also, you may have booked a journey which requires a change of coach. In both examples, please ask the driver to confirm that his/her coach is going to the destination stated on your ticket. Flixbus put the safety and comfort of passengers first, so the vehicles are equipped with a large number of safeguards. Best to buy tickets well in advance. Flixbus has many discounts for those who decide to purchase tickets in advance. Constant, although a slight discount is provided for youth, elderly and disabled people. Up to 50% discount is provided for children. You can insure only for travel, it’s possible directly on the Flixbus website, during ticket purchase. You can also insure individually with another insurer. This will be the insurance that will apply during the journey and while in a foreign country. The insurance should cover: loss of cash and goods, cancellation of travel and medical treatment abroad.
