Scania's new Irizar i6 coaches in the Eurolines’ fleet

Posted in Industry news

Two new vehicles belong to Excalibur Coaches and will be introduced on routes between Britain, France and Belgium, especially on the most busy express service London – Lille – Brussels. The new Irizar i6 body is liveried in full Eurolines colours.

Scania's new vehicle for Eurolines UK

Technical details: Both vehicles in this delivery are Scania K360 EB 4X2 chassis with Scania EGR Euro 5 360 horsepower engines and Scania’s automated Opticruise gearbox. The 12.2-metre bodywork has 51 seats, all with three-point seat belts, and is equipped air conditioning and centre toilet.
Maintenance will be carried out by Scania (Great Britain) Limited's Purfleet depot under Scania’s two year full repair and maintenance package, which is offered as standard with all new Scania coach purchases.

Commenting on the recent purchases, Mr Mark Jewell, Managing Director of Excalbur Coaches Ltd said:

Our high-profile services demand maximum availability, so the operational reliability of Scania coupled with the aftersales care provided by its nationwide UK and European service network provides an excellent solution for us. These are without doubt the best Scania Irizars we have purchased and ours is the very first i6 in Europe to be fully wrapped in Eurolines livery.

Book your ticket for a journey from Britain to Belgium, France and the rest of Europe.
