Online game to promote bus and coach transport

This is a very rare event that a transport operator, in this case Megabus, creates a promotional campaign to customers in the youngest age group. Now this simple game will be directly associated with the carrier. Any child playing in this game, will remember consciously or unconsciously the brand. But apart from the promotional techniques that Megabus has used, this game is great fun. You can play alone or with friends. Prior registration is needed.

megabus.com has teamed up with TAMBA to launch a multi player racing game. This game lets you challenge your mates or the computer to a race along real megabus routes, such as Glasgow to London!
Already listed in the ‘Games Squat Chart’ and featured on ‘Killer Viral’ the megaride game is becoming an increasingly popular battle amongst friends and enthusiasts.
Try challenging your driving skills and see if you can make the leader board on the megaride game

You must avoid the obstacles on the way, pick up Sid’s hats and of course, don’t forget to collect your passengers!
The more hats and passengers you get, the more points! Just use the up and down arrows keys to accelerate/decelerate your bus and the left and right arrow keys to steer.

The online game, launched last autumn, is designed to promote megabus’ key messages, including the £1 fares plus 50p booking fee for many distance journeys.
It is hoped the online campaign will extend awareness of the brand and remind existing customers to book early at megabus.com to ensure they get the cheapest fares.
