Coach services from London to Oxford are operated by two different coach carriers - Oxford Bus Company and Oxford Tube.
Oxford Bus Company (ex Oxford Espress) and Oxford Tube provide a direct intercity coach service between London and Oxford. There is no other coach operator, which offers similar shuttle service between these two destinations.
Oxford Bus Company offers more than 50 direct services per day, equally with the Oxford Tube, this operator also offers more than 50 connections per day.

The London to Oxford coach route offers a frequent coach service between London Victoria and Oxford Gloucester Green.
The X90 service belongs to the Oxford Bus Company and cooperates with National Express. The coaches are normal single-deckers, whereas Stagecoach’s Oxford Tube service (like Megabus) uses custom-made double-decker coaches.

Currently, both carriers offer their customers air-conditioned vehicles with free Wi-Fi, reclining seats and power sockets for laptops and mobile phones. Of course, the daily newspaper is also available for passengers.

The Oxford Bus Company’s X90 direct coach services operate between Oxford and London Victoria, with travel time about 100 minutes. Bus and coach boarding points...

Both operators start their services at Gloucester Green bus station in Oxford and terminate at Victoria Coach Station in London. Comparing one carrier to another, I can say that their routes are similar. However, if I have to be more precise the Oxford Tube tends to make more stops in general. In London this operator stops at Shepherd’s Bush, Notting Hill Gate, Marble Arch before getting to Victoria.
The Oxford Bus Company’s X90 goes via Queens Lane - City Centre, St Clements, Oxford Brookes University - Gipsy Lane, Headington Shops, Green Road Roundabout, Thornhill, direct to London’s Hillingdon, Baker Street, Marble Arch and Victoria Coach Station.

How to buy tickets online for travel from London to Oxford?

Online tickets: To purchase tickets online for the X90 service you can do it directly at the Europebus home page using a journey planner provided. You can also do it on the National Express website. National Express has allowed the carrier to sell tickets on its website. Simply fill out all fields in the journey planner and follow the instructions to buy a ticket.
If you want to buy tickets online for travel with Oxford Tube, you just have to visit  www.megabus.com There you are able to purchase tickets online.
Discounted tickets are also available for youths, children and seniors. If you book early and your travel dates and times are flexible, you may get ticket with a discount. Early booking is highly recommended, because services between London and Oxford are very popular and the coaches are fully booked on some days.

Carriage of luggage and bikes

Luggage policy for the X90 National Express bus to Oxford: X90 - Two items of luggage per adult person travelling - which must be stowed in the luggage hold of the coach.
Only small hand luggage may be taken onboard the coach - which must be stowed in the overhead racks or under the passenger’s seat. For safety reasons luggage must not be placed in the aisle of the coach or on seats.
