When a coherent journey planner for Eurolines will be introduced?

Posted in Industry news

Why Europe's largest coach carrier doesn’t have a decent journey planner?

Currently, the situation looks as follows: you visit eurolines.com website to purchase tickets online, but unfortunately you can’t do this, because... - the website doesn’t have an option to purchase tickets online. The carrier’s main website!
However, you’ve got an alternative, but you must be familiar with geography.
You have to click on the country from Eurolines’ map (it’s a map of Europe), to figure out from what country you’ll start the journey from. Unfortunately the map hasn’t been updated recently.
So you're unlucky, because you travel from Kiev, but no data is available on eurolines.com website for the Ukraine. So you have to rummage in Google: Who is a member of Eurolines in Ukraine - for example. Then you go to the appropriate website.
OK if you're lucky, the country from which you start your journey from, has accordingly prepared website with an option to purchase tickets online, for example, the United Kingdom. You’re redirected to this website from eurolines.com.
But why you can’t buy a ticket online on the British Eurolines website or on the Eurolines’ main page, for example from Berlin to Moscow?
Airlines (these expensive and cheap) for a long time don’t have such technical issues, you can easily make purchases even on combined journeys between various airlines and between different continents.
In my opinion, each Eurolines member affiliated in the group, should be put into one journey planner. If a member won’t have a license to sell tickets for one leg of a journey, the search engine should allow a purchase of two separate tickets, but it still will guarantee that in case of delays, the connecting coach will wait for late passengers, and that the European Union rules apply, even if the carrier doesn’t belong to the European Union, such as Morocco.
Of course it wouldn’t be unusual that, during an online purchase, passengers can choose a place on the coach, such a solution exists in Spanish Alsa (Eurolines member)
I hope that this will change soon, in my opinion online ticket sales, is very complicated at the present time, especially for non-Europeans.
One organization, but there is no consistency in it, unfortunately.

One can find some intriguing points in time in this article but I don't know if I see all of them center to heart. There's some validity but I will take hold opinion until I appear into it further. Very good post , thanks and we want more!

I'd have to check with you here. Which is not something I frequently do! I delight in reading a post that can make individuals believe. Also, thanks for allowing me to comment!
